The Rural Municipality of Morell invites all homes located within the municipal boundaries to participate in the Morell Annual Christmas Decorating Contest. The top four best decorated residential properties will be receiving prizes sponsored by the Morell Co-op and Morell Lions Club.

1. Participation is open to all residential properties located within the boundaries of the Rural Municipality of Morell.
2. Contest entry is free.
3. Participants have to register no later than December 14, 2025 by filling out the registration form at https://forms.gle/bFVdNs7Sc4BrJBqX8.
4. Contest is for exterior decorations, including decorations in windows that are visible from the exterior. Judging will be done from outside the residence only.
5. Judging will be based on “curb appeal” as viewed from the street. Therefore, only those decorations located on the street side of the property will be judged (corner lots will be judged from both streets). Judges will not enter the property to view back or side yards.
6. Judging criteria will include:

• • Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations.
  • Display and placement of decorations, animated objects, etc.
  • Overall presentation.

7. To be eligible, participants must have all lights, animations and decorations in place and activated for the judging period on the evenings between December 15-20. Four residential prizes will be awarded:

• • First residential place – $200 gift card
  • Second residential place – $100 gift card
  • Third residential place – $50 gift card
  • Fourth residential place – $50 gift card

8. All prizes must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions and have no cash value.
9. Winners will be announced on the municipal Facebook page and website.
