MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT
PURSUANT TO SECTION 42 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT,
AND SUBSECTION 25(1) OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION REGULATIONS

• Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Rural Municipality of Morell that a Municipal Election will be held on November 02, 2026, to elect the Mayor and 6 Councillors for the Rural Municipality of Morell for the term of office terminating on the 6th day of December 2030.
• The nomination period for the council positions noted above opens on October 07,2026, and closes at 2pm on Nomination Day, October 16, 2026.
• Nominations can be received at the election office, 12 Sunset Crescent, Morell, by the Municipal Electoral Officer (MEO) or Returning Officer at the following times:

– Wednesday, October 7, 2026, 9am to 12pm
– Monday, October 12, 2026, 9am to 3pm
– Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 9am to 3pm
– Thursday, October 15, 5pm to 8pm
– Friday, October 16, 2026, 9am to 2pm

• Candidates are responsible for confirming their eligibility to be nominated prior to submitting their nomination form.
• The deadline for correcting elector information shall be no later than 11:59am on Friday, October 30, 2026.
