As a result of Hurricane Fiona, many Islanders lost trees on their private lots, in some cases a significant number of trees. The Rural Municipality of Morell is asking residents who lost trees to let the municipal office know the following:

  • The size of their property
  • The size of the wooded area before the damage inflicted by Hurricane Fiona
  • The extent of the tree loss and damage to the wooded area

This information is requested so the municipality can assess the extent of overall damage to the wooded areas and explore reforestation opportunities.

Please contact us at (902) 961-2900 or info@morell.ca with the information and any questions.
