Since its renovation in 2010, Leo Rossiter Park has been a center for Morell social life:

  • the Shelter has been in demand for weddings, anniversaries, family get-togethers, and reunions;
  • The playground equipment has been popular with children and their families;
  • The floating dock has made the River more accessible for boaters;
  • The activities on the River (kayaking / canoeing) have attracted lots of locals and visitors.

Despite this progress, Morell Council would like your suggestions on how to make the Park and the adjoining River area even more valuable to the Community.

Please share your ideas by contacting the Community Office at (902) 961-2900 or via email at info@morell.ca.

History Fact

In 1928, Morell's increasing population led to the creation of a mission church. St. Lawrence Hall was moved into the village of Morell, and it was subsequently consecrated the Church of St. Teresa of the Little Flower.
